Letter: Domina has maturity
U.S. citizens are fed up with the gridlock and partisanship of the current do-nothing Congress. Before we throw stones, however, let us think about what Nebraskans can do to rectify the situation.
Adults know you don’t always get your own way; conciliation and compromise are not dirty words. I fear that Ben Sasse would only add to the current impasse in government.
Mr. Sasse has already signed the Grover Norquist pledge to not raise taxes (end of discussion). He has campaigned with buddies such as Sen. Ted Cruz (Mr. Congeniality). He has accepted big campaign dollars from groups outside Nebraska such as the Club for Growth (which deeply care about Nebraskans, no doubt).
We can elect a senator who has the maturity, good judgment and even-handedness to do what is best for the nation and our state. Dave Domina has a real track record and concern for serving Nebraskans and is not so beholden to the big money buying U.S. elections. He has the legal background to navigate in the Senate. He has the experience to help draft the next farm bill and to understand the concerns of small businesses. He is the type of statesman I want to represent me in Washington, and I hope you will join me in voting for him.
